Miami born. Puerto Rico raised. This Americano Latino holds no bounds and is conquering the music industry by storm. Destined for greatness, Michaelangelo Mejia possessed the ability to wow crowds with his phenomenal voice and stage presence at an early age. The youngster would perform at multiple local talent shows and talent competitions channeling his father as one of his biggest supporters and inspirations. At the ripe age of 7 years old, the bilingual super star was signed to the legendary Don King management which in turn led to iconic labels such as Motown Records and Prime records attention. He released his first solo album “Michaelangelo XII” at the age of 12 and landed the lead role in the Puerto Rican classic movie, Milagro en Yauco. Through years of acting in films, such as the motion picture Paradise Lost, as well as television movies and series; Michaelangelo’s true passion was always music. He recorded two additional albums under Universal Latino (Mis Sueños and Michelangelo) and worked with renowned producers including The Underdogs, Seven, and Rudy Perez. This gave him the opportunity to record the theme song to the Telemundo 2014 Olympics as well as one of the theme songs for the 2006 World Cup. The vocal powerhouse has since been touring the world with Marc Anthony (Russia, USA tour dates), Juanes with MTV’s Unplugged tour, Juan Luis Guerra’s Loud and Unplugged Tour and most recently has been on Luis Fonsi’s Love and Dance Worldwide Tour.
Michaelangelo is currently working on his much anticipated EP “#TeLlego” and growing on his independent music. He’s looking to enchant and capture his audience on this new chapter of his musical career.
